Q. When will I receive my second shot?
You will be able to schedule an appointment for your second shot after you have completed your initial appointment. If you received your first dose of the Moderna Vaccine at another location you should make sure that you schedule your second shot at least 28 days after you received your first dose. If you received the Pfizer or Novavax Vaccine you should schedule your second shot at least 21 days after your first.
Q: What is the difference between a Booster and a third dose (additional dose)?
A third dose (additional dose) is recommended for those who are immunocompromised and may not have received an adequate response to the first 2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna.
A booster is authorized for those who may NOT be immunocompromised but may benefit from receiving another dose at least 5 months after receiving the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna and 2 months for J&J.
Q: Who is eligible for a third dose of Pfizer or Moderna?
PEOPLE WHO HAVE A MODERATELY TO SEVERELY WEAKENED IMMUNE SYSTEM WHO HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED 2 DOSES OF PFIZER OR MODERNA VACCINE
- Receiving active cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood, OR
- Received an organ transplant and am taking medicine to suppress my immune system, OR
- Received a stem cell transplant within the last 2 years or am taking medicine to suppress the immune system, OR
- Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome), OR
- Advanced or untreated HIV infection, OR
- Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that suppress my immune response
Q: If I am eligible for a third dose, when should I get it?
You should wait at least 28 days from when you received the 2nd dose of Moderna or Pfizer.
Q: If I received 2 doses of Pfizer and would like a Moderna for my third dose or vice versa, is that allowed?
When possible, you should receive the same vaccine. For example, if you got a series of Pfizer vaccines, try to get a Pfizer vaccine for your 3rd dose. If the vaccine you need is not available, you may receive a third dose with another mRNA vaccine.
Q: Will I need to show proof of my previous COVID-19 vaccines?

Q: What other documents do I need to bring?
Please bring a photo ID to your appointment.
For 12-18 year olds, please bring proof of age to your appointment. The following are examples of acceptable documentation for proof of age:
- Driver's license or permit (foreign country or expired ID okay)
- California ID card or REAL ID card (from the DMV)
- Consular ID (Matricula Consular)
- Medicare card
- Military ID
- Membership card (foreign country okay if written in English)
- Passport (foreign country or expired okay)
- Birth certificate
- Medical document/records (including immunization records) from medical provider, clinic, or doctor
- Any official document that includes name and date of birth (for example, school record)
Q: Where will I be vaccinated?
When you arrive, please park along Ventura Blvd at one of the meters. You will be vaccinated in the pharmacy.
Q: Will I have to pay for the vaccine?
There will be no charge for the vaccine. We will bill your insurance for the administration fee. If you don't have insurance, you will still be able to receive the vaccine at no cost.
